Description

Crafted with a solid stainless-steel faceplate in a natural silver-grey brushed finish, this Zigbee 3.0 smart dimmer combines precise lighting control with a clean architectural appearance. Available in 1–4 gang configurations, it is designed to complement contemporary UK interiors.

Press the knurled rotary control to switch the light on or off, then turn it to adjust brightness smoothly from 0–100%. Leading- and trailing-edge dimming help provide stable control across a wide range of compatible dimmable lamps.

Connect through a compatible Zigbee hub to control the lighting remotely, create automations and monitor energy use. It works with Home Assistant, SmartThings and Hubitat, with Alexa and Google Home voice control available through the connected hub. Synchronised multi-way control also allows the same lighting circuit to be operated from up to three locations.

Designed for 220–240V UK two-wire lighting circuits, it requires no neutral wire and fits a standard 25mm back box. Suitable for compatible dimmable LED, halogen and incandescent lamps.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Zigbee Smart Dimmer connects through a compatible Zigbee 3.0 gateway. It works with Home Assistant through Zigbee2MQTT, as well as Homey, Hubitat, SmartThings and Philips Hue Bridge. Voice control is available through Amazon Alexa and Google Home when connected via a compatible gateway.

A Zigbee hub is not required for normal control at the wall. The rotary control will still switch and dim the lights manually. A compatible Zigbee 3.0 gateway is required for app control, schedules, scenes, automations and voice control.

No – Repenic are designed for UK homes and work without a neutral wire. This means they can be installed as a direct replacement for your existing wall switch in older properties as well as modern homes.

The dimmer supports compatible dimmable LED, halogen and incandescent lamps. For a single dimmer, LED loads are rated at 5–250W for resistive or capacitive loads and 5–100W for resistive or inductive loads. Halogen and incandescent loads are rated at 5–250W. Lower maximum loads apply to multi-gang installations.

Yes – both options are supported. Trailing edge (default) is recommended for most LEDs, while leading edge may be better for some halogens or older LED bulbs.

Yes. The minimum and maximum brightness levels can be adjusted to suit the connected lighting and help reduce flickering, sudden cut-off or an unusable section of the dimming range.

In one circuit, there can only be one smart dimmer, and it can not be wired to a 2-way switch or intermediate switches. If you want to control it with a 2-way or 3-way method, please use our multi-way dimmers.

There is no limit on the number of lights controlled by the dimmer. As long as the total wattage of all lights controlled by this dimmer adds up to less than 250W. Due to certain errors in the nominal wattage of lights, we recommend that the total wattage of the lights be preferably below 230W.

Yes. Manual on/off and dimming control at the wall will continue to work. Local Zigbee control and automations may also remain available, depending on the gateway. Remote app access, voice control and cloud-based automations may be unavailable until the internet connection is restored.

It should be at least 25mm.

Yes, but only if it meets the required safety standards and is placed in the right zone.
