The right light switch depends on its operating style, the number of
lighting circuits being controlled and whether conventional or Zigbee
smart control is required. Repenic light switches combine familiar
wall-mounted operation with coordinated solid metal finishes.
The range includes toggle and rocker switches in conventional and
Zigbee-enabled configurations, together with options for 1-way, 2-way
and multi-point lighting installations.
Toggle Light Switches
A toggle light switch uses a projecting metal lever to provide clear,
tactile on/off control. Its distinctive appearance works with both
traditional interiors and more contemporary architectural finishes.
Tactile operation
provides clear physical feedback when the connected lighting is
switched.
Traditional metal detailing
makes toggle switches suitable for period properties and interiors
with visible brass or steel hardware.
Multiple gang options
allow several separate lighting circuits to be controlled from one
coordinated faceplate.
Different switching arrangements
are available for compatible 1-way, 2-way and multi-position
installations.
A rocker light switch uses a broad press-operated control with a
discreet profile. It provides familiar everyday operation and a cleaner,
more understated appearance on the wall.
Familiar press operation
makes rocker switches straightforward to use in everyday spaces.
Low-profile appearance
suits contemporary rooms and interiors with restrained detailing.
Single and multi-gang options
allow one or several separate lighting circuits to be controlled.
Coordinated metal finishes
allow rocker switches to match nearby dimmers, sockets and other
electrical accessories.
A Zigbee smart toggle switch retains the familiar tactile operation of
a metal toggle while adding connected control through a compatible
Zigbee platform. The connected lighting can still be switched directly
from the wall without relying on an app.
Zigbee 3.0 connectivity
provides smart control through a compatible Zigbee hub or platform.
App control
allows the connected lighting circuit to be switched remotely.
Voice control
is available through Alexa or Google Assistant when supported by the
connected Zigbee platform.
Schedules and automations
can control when the connected lighting switches on or off.
Energy monitoring
allows compatible platforms to display the power consumption of the
connected lighting circuit.
A Zigbee smart rocker switch combines familiar press operation with
app control, voice control, schedules and automations through a
compatible Zigbee platform.
Physical wall control
remains available for normal everyday switching.
Remote control
allows the connected lighting to be managed through a compatible
Zigbee platform.
Smart-home routines
can coordinate the lighting with other compatible devices and
household automations.
Multi-point configurations
are available for compatible installations that require control from
several wall positions.
The required switching arrangement depends on how many wall positions
control the same lighting circuit. This is separate from the number of
gangs shown on the faceplate.
1-way switching
controls one lighting circuit from one wall position.
2-way switching
controls the same lighting circuit from two wall positions, making
it suitable for staircases, hallways and rooms with two entrances.
Multi-point switching
controls the same lighting circuit from three or more positions,
including compatible intermediate arrangements.
1–4 gang configurations
control several separate lighting circuits from one faceplate. The
gang number does not indicate the number of control positions.
Remote Control and Zigbee Binding
Compatible Zigbee smart switches can be configured for remote control,
allowing a wall switch to control another compatible device or trigger
a scene without directly switching its connected lighting circuit.
Find & Bind can also provide direct Zigbee control between
compatible devices where supported. Available functions and setup
methods depend on the Zigbee platform and connected equipment.
Dummy Dimmer Modules
A dummy dimmer module provides a matching non-dimming control position
within a modular faceplate. It can be used where the appearance of a
rotary control is required without adding an active dimming function.
Repenic light switches are available in coordinated metal finishes
designed to match sockets, dimmers and other interior hardware.
Brushed brass
provides a warm metallic finish suited to traditional and
contemporary interiors.
Brushed stainless steel
offers a clean, understated appearance for kitchens, workspaces and
modern rooms.
Matt black
creates a stronger architectural contrast against lighter walls.
Matt white
provides a quieter finish that coordinates with pale walls and
minimalist interiors.
Installation and Compatibility
Before ordering, confirm the number of gangs, required switching
arrangement, connected lighting load, available back-box depth and
wiring at each control position.
Repenic Zigbee smart toggle and rocker switches require a neutral
connection at the switch. Smart functions also require a compatible
Zigbee platform. Available app, voice, automation and energy-monitoring
features can vary depending on the hub and software being used.
Selected Repenic smart light switches support connected lighting loads
up to their stated 400W maximum rating. The connected circuit must
remain within the electrical rating specified for the selected model.
Installation note:
Fixed-wiring products should be installed in accordance with the
supplied instructions and relevant UK wiring requirements. Before
ordering, confirm the neutral connection where required, back-box
depth, number of gangs and required switching arrangement.
