Smart Rocker Switches

Enjoy the familiar press-and-click feel of a classic rocker switch, enhanced with Zigbee 3.0 smart control, multi-way compatibility and real-time energy monitoring.

Choosing a Zigbee Rocker Light Switch

Repenic Zigbee rocker light switches combine the tactile operation of a traditional rocker switch with connected lighting control. Lights can still be switched directly from the wall, while a compatible Zigbee platform adds remote control, schedules, automations and energy monitoring.

Designed for UK lighting installations, the range supports different gang and switching arrangements and fits a standard UK 25mm back box. A neutral connection is required at the switch.

Traditional Rocker Control with Zigbee 3.0

The physical rocker provides clear and familiar on/off control without relying on an app. Zigbee 3.0 connectivity adds smart control while allowing the switch to continue working as a normal wall switch.

  • Wall control provides immediate physical switching using a tactile rocker switch.
  • App control allows the connected lighting circuit to be switched on or off through a compatible Zigbee platform.
  • Voice control is available through Alexa or Google Assistant when supported by the connected Zigbee platform.
  • Schedules and automations can switch the lights at selected times or as part of wider smart home routines.

1-Way, 2-Way and Multi-Point Control

Different switching arrangements are available to suit rooms, hallways and staircases. Before ordering, confirm how many circuits are being controlled and how many switch positions are required.

  • 1-way control operates a lighting circuit from one wall position.
  • 2-way control operates the same lighting circuit from two positions, making it suitable for staircases, hallways and rooms with two entrances.
  • Multi-point control supports compatible installations where one lighting circuit needs to be controlled from three or more positions, including an intermediate switch position.
  • 1–4 gang options allow several separate lighting circuits to be controlled from one faceplate.

Remote Control and Direct Zigbee Operation

In addition to controlling its connected lighting circuit, the switch can be configured for remote control through a compatible Zigbee platform. This allows the rocker switch to control another compatible device or trigger scenes and automations without changing the traditional wall-mounted appearance.

Find & Bind can also provide direct Zigbee control between compatible devices where supported. Available functions and setup methods depend on the Zigbee platform and connected equipment.

Built-In Energy Monitoring

Energy monitoring allows compatible Zigbee platforms to display the power consumption of the connected lighting circuit. This provides a clearer view of lighting use and can support energy-based routines or notifications where the platform allows them.

Solid Metal Finishes

Repenic smart rocker switches are available in a selection of solid metal finishes, making it easier to coordinate switches with sockets, lighting and other architectural hardware.

  • Brushed brass provides a warm metallic finish suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
  • Brushed stainless steel offers a clean, understated appearance for kitchens, workspaces and modern rooms.
  • Matt black creates a stronger contrast and coordinates naturally with black lighting and interior hardware.
  • Matt white provides a quieter finish that blends with pale walls and minimalist interiors.

Wiring and Compatibility

These smart rocker switches require a neutral connection and are designed to fit a standard UK 25mm back box. The connected circuit must remain within the stated electrical rating, with a maximum load of 400W.

Smart functions require a compatible Zigbee platform. Available app, voice, automation and energy-monitoring features can vary depending on the hub and software being used.

If a neutral connection is not available and adjustable brightness is required, consider a compatible Zigbee smart dimmer switch instead. For conventional installations without smart control, explore the wider Repenic light switch collection .

Installation note: Fixed-wiring products should be installed in accordance with the supplied instructions and relevant UK wiring requirements. Before ordering, confirm the neutral connection, back-box depth, number of gangs and required switching arrangement.
