Description

Crafted with a stainless steel faceplate in a finely brushed finish, this 2-way rotary dimmer combines a substantial, tactile feel with precise control over your lighting. The knurled metal knob provides a confident grip, while the clean, screwless design complements the understated character of the brushed steel.

Press the rotary control to switch the light on or off, then turn it for smooth, continuous dimming from 0–100%. Selectable leading- and trailing-edge modes deliver stable, flicker-free and buzz-free dimming when paired with suitable dimmable LED, halogen and incandescent lamps. Adjustable minimum brightness and Boost mode help optimise performance at lower light levels.

Designed for 220–240V UK two-wire lighting circuits, it requires no neutral wire and fits a standard 25mm back box. Its 2-way switching capability allows the same lighting circuit to be switched on or off from a second location using a conventional 2-way switch, making it suitable for bedrooms, hallways and staircases.

Frequently Asked Questions

No – Repenic are designed for UK homes and work without a neutral wire. This means they can be installed as a direct replacement for your existing wall switch in older properties as well as modern homes.

The dimmer supports compatible dimmable LED, halogen and incandescent lamps. For a single dimmer, LED loads are rated at 5–250W for resistive or capacitive loads and 5–100W for resistive or inductive loads. Halogen and incandescent loads are rated at 5–250W. Lower maximum loads apply to multi-gang installations.

Yes – both options are supported. Trailing edge (default) is recommended for most LEDs, while leading edge may be better for some halogens or older LED bulbs.

Yes. The minimum brightness level can be adjusted to suit the connected lighting and help reduce flickering or sudden cut-off at low levels. The dimmer also automatically adjusts the maximum brightness to help maintain stable dimming.

There is no limit on the number of lights controlled by the dimmer. As long as the total wattage of all lights controlled by this dimmer adds up to less than 250W. Due to certain errors in the nominal wattage of lights, we recommend that the total wattage of the lights be preferably below 230W.

It should be at least 25mm.

Yes, but only if it meets the required safety standards and is placed in the right zone.

In one circuit, there can only be one 2-way dimmer. If you want to control it from different locations, please connect it to 2-way or intermediate switches.

If you want to install multiple dimmers in the same circuit, please use our multi-way dimmers.
